Paul is a Professor in Information Systems and Dean Academic at Holmes Institute. Holmes is a global education company and the largest private education provider in Australia.
Prior to working at Holmes Institute Paul was an Associate Professor in Information Systems at Victoria University and Principle Consultant at Hawking Solutions. He is considered as one of the leading commentators on ERP systems and Business Intelligence and specifically SAP solutions. His knowledge is well respected in both industry and academia and accordingly is often required to assist companies with their SAP strategies and understanding of SAP solutions.

Paul trains and advises academics around the world in regards to ERP systems and Business Intelligence curriculum. He was a past Chairperson and committee member of the SAP Australian User Group (SAUG) for 10 years and was responsible for knowledge transfer. Paul in 2009, 2011, 2012 was voted by the SAP community as one of the Top Ten Most Influential People in SAP for Australia and New Zealand. He was awarded "Outstanding Academic 2010" by SAP.
Paul was a SAP Mentor These are an elite group of highly-engaged and knowledgeable members of the SAP ecosystem. The SAP related curriculum Paul has developed is used by universities throughout the world. Paul is also one of Australia's best selling IT authors having written 11 books which are sold around the world. The Microsoft Stable book series has been in publication since 1995. The Microsoft Stable was the first book in Australia to have a supporting website. The book series has had more than $4million in sales to date.

Paul has a proven track record in producing high quality research, both as a sole investigator and as part of larger research teams resulting in the publication of more than 120 research publications. These include top level journal articles, industry reports and conference pa[pers. The focus of his research publications is different aspects of enterprise systems (SAP) and in particular Business Intelligence. His research has had more than 1.600 citations and he has a h-index of 19.
